What the mentors of Suraj Group know best out of their experience that people learn best when the environment is natural and a well-balanced space for the development of intellect, spiritualism, aesthetics and physical and mental strength is provided. They have always thought of an organization, as per the settings and requirements of Our countrya place, where learning will happen in a non-threatening, unburden-some environment and with lots of innovation. 

They had envisioned various elements that should be the integral part of the learning: A good school visibly and substantively improves the community it is embedded within, adapts quickly to social change, has students who get along with and support one another towards a common goal–and they know what that goal is, produces students that read and write because they want to.

An ideal learning place admits its failures and limitations while working together with a ‘global community’ to grow, has diverse and compelling measures of success– measures that families and communities understand a value, understands the relationship between curiosity, inquiry, and lasting human change. This place uses professional development to improve teacher’s capacity over time and teaches thought not content.

WE are more concerned with cultural practices than pedagogical practices–students and families than other schools or the educational status quo. It helps students understand the nature of knowledge–its types, fluidity, uses/abuses, applications, opportunities for transfer, etc. and it helps the learner to experience disruption in its own patterns and practices and values because its students are creative, empowered, and connected, and cause unpredictable change themselves. The school produces students who can think critically–about issues of human interest, curiosity, artistry, craft, history and more–and then do so.
